Natural Wicker Products (Water Hyacinth, Seagrass, Rattan, etc.)

Due to the handmade nature and delicate craftsmanship of our natural wicker products, all sales are final and non-returnable once purchased. This policy ensures the integrity and hygiene of our handcrafted items, which are made from organic materials like water hyacinth and seagrass.

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we will gladly assist you. Thank you for your understanding and support of sustainable, artisan-made products.

You are entitled to return your order within 90 days if the goods are among the specified reasons in defective returns section.

The deadline for returning an order is 90 days (defective returns) from the date you received the goods or on which a third party you have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the product delivered.

In order to exercise your right of cancellation, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement.

We will reimburse you no later than 30 days from the day on which we receive the returned goods. We will use the same means of payment as you used for the order, and you will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.

Resin Wicker and Wood Products

You are entitled to return your order within 30 days without giving a reason to doing so.

You are entitled to return your order within 90 days if the goods are among the specified reasons in defective returns section.

Conditions for returns:

In order for the goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The goods were purchased in the last 30 days

  • The goods are in the original packaging

The following goods cannot be returned:

  • The goods are handcrafted, so slight variations in color, texture, and shape are natural and not considered defects.

  • The goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized.

  • The goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, for example goods which deteriorate rapidly by improper use and care or negligence like exposure to excessive moisture, direct sunlight, physical mishandling and external damage.

  • The goods are wear and tear under normal indoor conditions: small frays, minor cracks, slight fading over time, natural grain variation (wood products).

  • The goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.

  • The goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

  • The goods that are on Sale or Clearance program are not eligible for returns.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions at our sole discretion.

Defective Returns

If the item arrives damaged during shipping or has a manufacturing defect, customers may request a replacement or refund by providing proof (photos/videos). The request should be made within 7 days after delivery date.

For natural wicker products, the following reasons are considered manufacturing defects:

  • Loose or Unraveling Weave – Weaving coming undone or unraveling due to poor craftsmanship, not due to external damage.

  • Structural Breakage – Frame or base of the product breaking under normal use.

  • Excessive Fraying – Severe fraying beyond normal wear and tear.

  • Severe Warping – Wicker significantly bending or warping under normal indoor conditions.

  • Manufacturing Defects – Uneven weaving, improper assembly, or misalignment of structural components.

For resin wicker products, the following reasons are considered manufacturing defects:

  • Weaving Defects – Loose, unraveling, or improperly woven strands.

  • Cracking or Splitting – Resin wicker cracking under normal use.

  • Discoloration or Fading – Rapid or unusual fading due to manufacturing defects.

  • Structural Issues – Frames bending, breaking, or detaching.

  • Peeling or Flaking – Coating deteriorating prematurely.

For wood products, the following reasons are considered manufacturing defects:

  • Cracks or Warping – Severe splitting or warping affecting structural integrity.

  • Loose Joints or Hardware – Screws, joints, or fasteners detaching due to manufacturer defects.

  • Peeling or Flaking Finish – Premature deterioration of protective coatings (under 90 days).

  • Manufacturing Defects – Improper cuts, misalignment, or weak structural components.

  • Severe Staining or Discoloration – Unnatural stains caused by material defects.

Returning Goods

You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the goods to us. You should send us an email to online@thegoodsforhome.com for the return address.

We cannot be held responsible for goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, we recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the goods or proof of received return delivery.

Gifts:

If the goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, you'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received, a gift card will be mailed to you.

If the goods weren't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give it to you later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.
